Eastern Regional GNAT Chairman appeals to teachers to be agents of peace

he Eastern Regional Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Teachers, (GNAT), Mr Solomon Djaba-Mensah, has appealed to teachers to be agents of peace wherever they find themselves in the run-off to the December 28 Presidential elections.
He reminded teachers to see the elections as a patriotic duty to be performed, and to come out in their numbers to vote, adding that the unity of Ghana is paramount in all cases.
Mr Djaba-Mensah made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Koforidua on Thursday.
He said GNAT was a non-political organization and urged all teachers to vote according to their conscience to choose the better of the two candidates to be the president of "our dear country".
Mr Djaba-Mensah wished all teachers a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
