The Ghana Association of Consultants on Friday called on all political parties and their supporters to consider the peace of the country as paramount in their quest to lead the country. Dr Ebow Bannerman, President of the Association, made this known in a press release stating that, Ghanaians should bear in mind that development could only be achieved in a climate of peace and tranquillity. Adding their voice to that of other organisations and other personalities, he said they were appealing for peace to prevail in the country during the campaign period, the Election Day itself and the period thereafter. Dr Bannerman pointed to conditions in neighbouring countries where even after the end of civil strife they were still grappling with problems related to social cohesion and other serious development challenges. "As Ghanaians we should all remember that we share a common vision and a common destiny no matter our religious, political and social differences," he added. GNA |
