The People's National Convention (PNC) will allocate majority of resources to the deprived and vulnerable in society. The General Secretary of the PNC, Mr Bernard Mornah said this on Wednesday at the party's headquarters in Accra during an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA). "Our blueprint is that majority of the society's benefits will be focused on the poor, the vulnerable and the marginalised in society," he said, adding that the former and present governments failed to make the poor and vulnerable have access to social benefits. On the party's manifesto, Mr Mornah said the party's priority was focused on agriculture, education, health and the youth. "The PNC will look at education, auditing it from the basic level to the tertiary level." Mr Mornah said under the PNC, equitable distribution would be guaranteed in the health sector, adding that the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) was not being implemented well as citizens could only be given treatment in their respective district hospitals. He accused the media of bias as they paid more attention to some parties to the exclusion of others and called on the media to tell the public the content of every party's manifesto. GNA |
