NPP to fulfil promises within first term in office

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, has given the assurance that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his Presidential candidate, would fulfil all his major promises within his first term in office if he won the Presidential Election runoff.
     In line with this commitment, he said the major roads in the Upper West Region like the Wa – Tumu; Wa –Funsi and Nadowli – Lawra- Hamile roads would all be tarred to open up the Region for accelerated economic development through the Northern Development Authority during his first term.
     Dr Bawumia was addressing Party supporters in Wa on Sunday as part of his campaign tour of the Upper West Region.
     He was accompanied by Mr Haruna Bayariga, People's National Convention's Member of Parliament for Sissala West Constituency, and Mr Bede Ziedeng, General Secretary of the Democratic Freedom Party, who are all backing the NPP Presidential candidate in the Presidential runoff.
     Dr Bawumia noted that the NPP's record of performance in Government was unmatched and he was confident that Nana Akufo-Addo would get the people's mandate to implement his policies and vision for the nation.
     He urged all NPP supporters to be very vigilant from now until after voting on Sunday.
     The NPP Vice-Presidential candidate and his entourage later toured the Wa Central Market to canvass for votes and to educate the market women on how to vote.
