Traders still operating at the old Kasoa area have been advised to reject promises from politicians to maintain them at the area when they win power.
Addressing an emergency press conference at Kasoa on Tuesday Mr Solomon Kwashie Abbam-Quaye, District Chief Executive for Awutu/Senya, said such promises undermine the enforcement of law and order.
Mr Abbam-Quaye said that what the politicians were allegedly propagating would not help anyone and would do the district more harm than good.
He in this regard urged them (politicians) to help sensitize the traders to leave the place and go to the new market.
He said the continued stay of market women at the old Kasoa market area was draining the Awutu/Senya district of a lot of revenue.
The DCE added that what the politicians were doing would rather worsen the plight of the traders involved.
